Steven Edward Stewart Jr., 33, and Bernard Coleman, 43, were fatally shot Friday morning about four miles apart in the Fairlawn and Congress Heights neighborhoods, respectively. Authorities are actively investigating the incidents, which appear to be unrelated. • Two men were injured in a shooting Friday afternoon near the DC-Maryland border in Southeast. The victims were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and DC Police are investigating the incident.

Washington Post: Man claiming a bomb was in car arrested at White House Saturday “A man drove up to a White House check point shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday and told a Secret Service officer that “there’s a bomb in the trunk,” authorities said.”

Keon McNeil was last seen in the unit block of Quincy Place around 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. He is described at 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.”

No injuries were reported in the fire in a basement apartment in the two-and-one-half story building in the 2300 block of Ashmead Place NW, said Vito Maggiolo, a fire deparment spokesman.”
